Going to Pieces

This doc from 2006 follows the history of the "slasher" film and does a good job at it. Cool to see so many people involved in the industry in the doc including Carpenter and Craven. Its sad how many of the of "classics" I haven't seen (or don't remember seeing) though. The only thing I really remember is watching these on USA's Up All Night. So a lot of them were watched in pieces and highly edited for tv.

Alice in Wonderland [2010]

Johnny Depp almost ruined this movie for me. I'm just not a fan of his "wacky/zany/drunk" acting that he perfected in the Pirates movies. Luckily, he didn't overpower the movie and let Tim Burton do his work.

It was a fun movie and nowhere near as "dark" as people warned me about. Had no problems watching it with my son.

George Washington

I'm sorry, I know a lot of people love this movie, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'm just not deep enough or whatever. I didn't connect with the characters or anything. Just felt blah about it.

Toy Story 3

Cried like a little girl. Yea. I said it. Damn the Pixar folks can put together a movie! How do you make something so emotional, yet keep it entertaining for 5 year olds is beyond me!

Completely entertaining and will be a staple of our repeat movie watching at home for years!

Also, so glad we watched COOL HAND LUKE a while back so we got all those references!

Cannibal! The Musical

This has been sitting in my instant queue for years and I finally got around to it. It was Trey Parker's first feature and you can definitely tell the talent he has.

Quite some funny stuff, just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
