So, one of my wife's first netflix picks was LEGEND. Another 80s flick that I somehow managed to miss. This picture had to have been a HUGE production back in the 80s. Ridley Scott helming it, a young Tom Cruise starring. It was a really good fantasy movie that hasn't really held up that well, but better than most.

Nerdcore Rising

Wow, very cool doc about a music genre I had no clue even existed. Strange as it seems with my level of geekdom that I had never come across it.

Its a great doc and a fun watch.

SLC Punk

I remember seeing this in blockbuster my freshman year of college and thinking it was someone trying to cash in on the "dazed and confused" hype. I never watched it. Finally got around to it on instant this weekend. It was a decent story with some mediocre acting. Good for anyone who enjoys punk music. [3/5]

KICK ASS

I had heard so many different things about KICK ASS and the only thing I went into the movie expected was ultra-violence. It definitely lived up to that expectation! This is one I'll definitely purchase on BD!

Dead End Drive In

After watching Not Quite Hollywood, and hearing all the praises this got, I immediately put it at queue position #1.

It was an entertaining flick, but I guess the expectations from NQH were set pretty high. I didn't enjoy it as much as Tarantino did apparently.

Not Quite Hollywood

I seriously had no clue what "oz-sploitation" was until I watched this movie! I thought I did, but seriously had no clue. I've added a bunch of movies to my queue, most of which I could probably get from @BTSJunkie.

Watch and learn!

Loverboy

Another 80s classic that I somehow missed. Caught it on netflix instant and was shocked how much plot elements were stolen from this by "Hung" which is one of my favorite tv shows right now!

I guess there's only so much "secret male gigolo" plot twists one can come up with! [4/5]

28 Days Later

Got this on blu ray a few weeks back and finally got around to watching it. The quality wasn't all that great, although I guess that can be attributed to the digital recording the film had vs anything else.

I still love this movie! [5/5]

Cruel Intentions

Man, how I love this movie! I discovered that for some unknown reason, we did not own this! Don't ask me how that is humanly possible because I don't know.

This is definitely one of my all time favorites [5/5]

Hot Tub Time Machine

This was a great flick with tons of 80s references throughout! A couple of the slow parts I thought they were going to lose us, but it would immediately hop right back into it. Looking forward to a second screening of it! My favorite comedy of 2010 so far! [4/5]
